Discovery

The first discovery time for 2015 was a big hit in Room 4.  At times it seems like organised chaos, but  the skills for learning how to work together develop quickly.  The children love dismantling appliances, finding out what is inside and recycling parts in their art projects.  Please keep the appliances and boxes coming in on Fridays.
Connor is really concentrating on the job.

These children have been deconstructing and are sorting out parts they can use.

Any old swimming goggles come in handy as safety glasses.

The children helped make the play dough and couldn't wait to get using it.

Purposeful application in a chaotic mess.

Careful Jayden!  Ouchy, ouchy, burnie, burnie. It is great to see the confidence and  'I can do it attitude' developing.

Who is that masked man?

What are you working on Rosa?

Drew is working carefully removing the keys from a keyboard.

Wow! Jamie.  I am really liking your bulldozer.  I especially like the way you have recycled part of the keyboard to make the blade.  That shows imagination.  Good boy.

  1. There are some great imaginations in room 4. Discovery time is by far the highlight of Kayla's week and I look forward to seeing her creations on Friday's!
